While website design is our oldest specialty, it is certainly not our only as we also work in print design, logo design, photorealistic 3d rendering, and professional photography.
The Stanford Institute for Creativity and the Arts (SICA) commissioned us to create their new site. We helped them develop a visual style and theme for their organization which was creative, yet maintained a structured academic style. The design incorporated an automatically-changing background which changes for each page the user visits. This lent a dynamic feel to pages which would otherwise change less frequently. The front page of the SICA site uses Macromedia Flash™ animations to present upcoming events in an engaging way.

The studio accepts a few pro-bono contracts each year, and because of their non-profit contributions to the UCSD community, the UCSD Persian Club was one such contract. The primary design goal for the Persian Club website was to develop a classy and stylish platform from which the club could make announcements and provide information about members and meetings. Reliefs from the ruins at Persepolis were colored and integrated into the design to give a distinctly Persian theme.

A redesign was long overdue for the studio's own site. The original design was geared mainly for displaying 2D and 3D art, but since then the content has dramatically changed, making new demands of the site. One of the goals for the redesign was to develop a technical blog where articles about design, photography, and rendering could be published. This blog contains context-driven links to other articles, as well as photography and art from the gallery. It is designed from the ground-up using standards-based CSS and XHTML markup, and pages are generated on-the-fly using a Content Management System (CMS) residing on the webserver. The new design will go live by the end of this summer.
